What is Hunar Haat
Hunar Haat is an exhibition of handicrafts and traditional products made by artisans from the Minority communities. It is organized by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
The scheme aims to establish Hunar Hub in all the states where programs like Hunar Haat and other cultural events are to be organized.

Speaking to media he said,
#HunarHaat has proved to be “credible brand” to ensure better livelihood to master artisans. #HunarHaat has proved to be effective & successful mission to preserve and promote India’s indigenous traditional legacy of master artisans, craftsmen which was on the verge of extinction. #HunarHaat is giving newer heights to small and medium scale industries. The traditional art of the master artisans of the country is being enthusiastically projected through “Hunar Haat.
About 2 lakh 80 thousand master artisans, craftsmen and culinary experts have been provided employment and employment opportunities in the last 3 years through
#HunarHaat . These include a large number of women artisans.
Hunar Haat is organized under USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts/Crafts for Development) scheme.
Who organizes Hunar Haat
The Ministry of Union Minority Affairs organizes “Hunar Haat”. The event intends to provide employment opportunities to traditional culinary experts, artisans, and craftsmen.
The theme of the events to be organized between 2019 and 2020 will be based on Theme: Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat

The Ministry will organize Hunar Haats in Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolakata, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Patna, Dehradun and Indore.
Essence of Hunar Haat
The artisans will bring indigenous handmade exquisite pieces of bamboo and cane The event also includes the participation of Jute products from Assam.
The event has proved to effectively provide employment opportunities to more than 2 lakh 50 thousand artisans and craftsmen in the last three years.
